Site Shares
Site shares are encouraged for all teachers. As mentors, we are gradually releasing teachers to their role as teacher leaders at their own sites. For them to be able to share with their colleagues their journey in developing as an antiracist not only cements their learning, it will inspire the support of their community. Site Shares can occur anytime during the month of May.

Preparing Teachers to Share
Each teacher has a unique story to share. How and what they share is individualized to what is important to them. This teacher resource is available to support teachers in preparing to share which includes:
- Purpose of this Professional Development Event
- Sample Site Share/Colloquium Agenda
- Possible Ideas for Sharing
- Plan for Preparing
Here are some tips to support using the teacher resource:
- Share with teachers the purpose of the event and connect them to their why. What do they want from this experience?
- Ask them about prior experiences they’ve had in sharing their teaching practice. What went well? What was a challenge?
- In reviewing the possible ideas for sharing, develop questions to ask them about what they think is important to share about their journey this year as an anti-racist educator and/or in their goal area(s). What impact could their sharing have on others?
- Reflect together on how much time they have to share and their communication style. Brainstorm what would support them in sharing their story within the time allotted. What would support them in having the experience they hope to have?
