2017-18 SC/SVNTP (Santa Cruz) Steering Committee
The SC/SVNTP Steering Committee is comprised of at least one representative and one alternate from each partner school/district within the Santa Cruz/Silicon Valley New Teacher Project consortium.
The Steering Committee meets quarterly to learn from one another, seek ways to further align Induction with other district/school initiatives, and to guide the work of the SC/SVNTP. Mentors also join to provide an additional perspective. A full 2017-18 calendar is available below for your reference. |
In addition to quarterly meetings, SC Program Leaders regularly connect with Representatives to enroll new teachers, align mentoring support, problem solve, and learn from one another. In the Spring, SC Program Leaders hold a "Spring Visit" with representatives from each district/charter to connect, review the year, and begin developing plans for the following year.
This page will be regularly updated with information important for each partner school/district to know. We encourage you to bookmark this site and revisit often. The Creating Effective Environment Tool is a process mentors may use with teachers as we help them think through classroom procedures . It is designed to be used with teachers emerging in their understanding and experience in creating safe and productive learning environments, as well as for teachers further along in their practice.
